For years, stories have faithfully offered me a place to seek refuge, reflection or the skin-prickled sensation of feeling truly seen. Before graduating from college, I launched Skadaddle Productions to foster those intimate connections and cultivate a sense of wonder that authentic storytelling can achieve.
Brooke Wilson – journalist, visual storyteller, creative consultant.
She does more than write or press record, Brooke envisions how stories can impart a message. A journalist and creative writer for print and screen, Brooke approaches projects with a multidisciplinary view that strengthens and breathes life into stories.
“One of the greatest tools I’ve found to spark connection, enact change, and unearth discoveries are the stories we share. Like storytellers, stories themselves contain multitudes.”
Between scripting and hosting original programs for 89.3 KUGS-FM in college, developing creative collateral with the Talking to Crows film collective and contracted work as a multimedia coordinator for the Bellevue Downtown Association, she has cultivated storytelling practices through cinematic mediums, soundscapes and written formats.
